Domestic Violence: Search and Seizure of Weapons - Demo Version
When law enforcement officers have probable cause to believe that a weapon was involved in an act of domestic violence, they are empowered to seize that weapon as they would in any other violent crime. As a component of the complete domestic violence training program, this module helps ensure that officers properly conduct the search and seizure of weapons in domestic violence cases. It also covers procedures for seizure of weapons when the defendant is a law enforcement officer, and it provides information on the protocol for weapons forfeiture.
